The brilliance
of the Lebanese

The brilliance of the Lebanese transparency

While enhancing classic forms to breathtaking proportions, flamboyantly dresses are Zuhair Murad’s signature. The autumn/winter 2017/2018 Haute Couture collection spreads femininity shown in light velvet dresses with lace inserts in colours of black, white, and soft pink that give you insights of tender silhouettes.

A deep vision of playful decorated, flowing transparent dresses, emphatic in waist, that shine by a mix of materials such as feathers, laces, and velvet ribbons, delivering an insight into a deep-cut back. Black trim at the waist amped up the romance at Murad’s parade, where models were esteemed as goddesses by wearing a golden crown.

There is also a more day-appropriate look by the designer’s speciality: a combination of glittering fringes and flower laces on a blazer, with a wide flowing trouser – still pure in femininity. It’s the creation of a modern woman who is self-confident, and aware of herself.

Since 2012 the Lebanese talent is elected by the supervisory board of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture as a guest member. No wonder he plays in a majestic eleven-story space house at the heart of Beirut, where designers, pattern makers, tailors and embroidery experts create dresses as for princesses.

For Zuhair Murad’s Fall Winter Couture collection it was the lace collar, a mood of now, by which the real beauty of a woman stands out as the soft touch of a bloom. After opening his first Ready-to-wear boutique at the Harrods store in London in 2016 it will be interesting to follow his development, where else Murad decides to go with this new mood…
